A way for change

Why vote for independent candidates? Like most middleclass American's, if you think politics is for the birds, and believe "any way you choose you loose" the following(Taken from novel: "THE BIRD IN BUSH" Analogies of birds to politicians) will be of interest. ORGANIZING FOR CHANGE:

Primary Concerns:

Did you realize that when you vote in a primary, your party preference is placed on a computer list, and your name, address and political preference is made available to the major political parties?

Besides being a direct violation of the Confidential Information Protection and Statistical Efficiency Act of 2002. It's a nice way to determine which counties can be manipulated by shorting ballots on Election Day.

The middleclass really needs to organize State, County and City Middleclass Reformist Political Parties, and vote for franchised middleclass candidates. I can picture some barber, teacher or electrician going from block to block, knocking on doors saying -

"I'm running for Congress as a Middleclass Reformist Candidate. This is a picture of my family. I'm honest, and I don't have any legal experience, which I consider to be a good thing. My only special interests are my wife and kid's, and my dog. I have no use for the politicians and special interests that have been undermining our livelihoods. The back of the picture includes a copy of my signed affidavit agreeing to leave public office if I betray your trust. Would you mind voting for me, and passing out copies of this information to everyone on your block?"

We can use the Internet to network, and have e-mail accessed registration and newsletters. I'll bet high school and college kids would jump on the idea in a minute. Gas prices have doubled since Bush took office, and health care has risen over 70 percent. It's their future that's being eroded, and they are running out of
time to save their quality of life!"

Robert said softly "That's a good idea Ryan. Special interests haven't figured out how to control our Internet, but you know darn well this administration is illegally data mining our conversations to discover which of us don't like what Bush and his wealthy base on both sides of the isle are doing to our democracy.

They would probably set aside our First Amendment 'right to peaceably assemble' by calling it a national security issue. They would then label us as subversives or even insurgents. They would do what ever they could to keep their special interests in control of our government.

Ryan asked Robert what he meant by diminishing middleclass.

Robert responded, "Everything done politically in our country appears to be pointed at creating a two class society by widening the gap between the middleclass, and the Bush BASE that's represented by millionaires seated on both sides of the isle."

Robert continued, "It's evident they plan on destroying our country's middleclass,just think about it!

· They will double our population over the next twenty years using illegal immigrants who will put an end to our trade unions and physical service jobs.

· They allow big corporations to fire millions of American citizens earning a fair wage, and move their manufacturing and technical and financial service jobs to third world countries that pay employees sub-standard wages.

· They borrow billions for wars of economic choice to support windfall profits that increase the stock portfolios for the few owing the majority of energy, military industrial, and special interest contractor stocks. The borrowed billions increase our national debt, forcing their burden to be paid by the sweat equity of our children. At present, it's $124,000 per American family.

Robert concluded "We don't have much time remaining to save our quality of life for our children. If we don't start getting politically involved now, it's going to be too late, and we'll have no one to blame but ourselves."

Ryan patted Robert on the shoulder in an approving gesture, thanked him for his input, and sat back in his seat.

LOST AMERICAN JOBS

Trading livelihoods to increase stock portfolios.

Robert was still driving towards home, sharing thoughts about being with Janet, and having concerns over his friend losing his job. He recalled the way big businesses lay's off millions of American workers and moves their operations to foreign countries where they can exploit labor to increase profits. He thought -

Our government doesn't do anything to protect American's middleclass workers, and its forcing thousands of families to lose their homes and health insurance. It just doesn't make sense! When I get home I'm going to write my Congressional Representatives and express my concerns over the way they protect the profits of
special interests over the welfare of the working people in our country.

He then remembered his earlier thoughts about a Jay for every political tree -

"Ha-Ra-Ta-Ta", now I remember! The total 2003 tax credits were divided evenly between the 127 million tax filers earning under $140,000, and the 226,000 tax filers earning over a million dollars. The millionaires received their relief on stock dividends, which means they own the majority of privately held stock. All
Americans can play the stock market if they have money, but only 226,000 own the majority of privately held stocks. When you connect the dots:

· Companies increase profits when they lay off thousands of American's earning a fair wage, and move their operations to third world countries where they can exploit labor, avoid paying taxes to support our government, and can escape our environmental laws.

· Their increased profits reflect increased stock values that benefit the 226,000 millionaires who own the majority of privately held stocks.

· The people sworn to protect the American public appear to have allowed over 50 percent of our manufacturing jobs and corporate tax base to leave our country over the past 40 years for financial gain. They're now doing the same thing to our union jobs using immigration, and our technical service jobs through outsourcing. It gives you a warm feeling to talk to someone who can barely speak English. We realize we have lost control of our sensitive credit information, and people in a foreign country now handle it.

The conclusion appears simple. It's reported the millionaire lawyers we've been voting into public office to protect our Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness are earning around 16 % on their stock investments. They're probably a part of the Bush BASE that's been trading our livelihoods for increased stock portfolios.
