Bush: Do as I say, not as I do

We've all heard president Bush talk about how other countries need "transparency" in government... Palestine, Mexico, Russia, etc. You'd think he is a man who values transparency in government. But alas, when faced with steadily declining Pentagon assessment figures for how many "capable" Iraqi army units there are Bush responded by... classifying that heretofore unclassified information.

Of course this needs context in order to fully appreciate it's Rovewellian nature. Remember, this is the same president Bush who has repeatedly called for "liberal democracy" in other countries while simultaneously and steadfastly pursuing a decidedly conservative brand of pseudo-democracy here at home. Not surprisingly, he has a cadre of like-minded minions who very much want to change what America means and stands for.

All that talk from BushCo about liberal democracy and transparency is just that... talk.
