Battling Those Gay Terrorists
There are many changes that have occurred since 9-11. Our government has marched further down the road to authoritarianism. They have adopted the actions of leaders that are afraid of anything that is out of line with their way of thinking.
Over the last few years, a vocal protest has begun over the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. One of the acts of protest has been for gay college groups to disrupt recruitment efforts on college campuses.
These protestors have been watched and any information gathered included in a Pentagon database used to detect terrorist activities.
Sen Feinstein has called for an investigation and the Pentagon has stopped the practice.
The fact that these protestors have been watched and added to a database is further proof of our government's slid back to the Nixon era. Whether you agree with the protestors or not, the fact that the government is gathering this information should worry you. And the fact it is the Pentagon and not a civilian organization should heighten that fear.
We cannot allow these actions by our government to continue. From wiretapping to the military watching and recording student protests, they are returning back to the type of government we once rejected.
This nation once forced out a president for these same actions. Is it time for us to do the same?

"Naturally, the common people don't want war, but they can always be brought to the bidding of their leaders. Tell them they are being attacked, denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and endangering the country. It works the same in every country."

At the Nuremberg Trials
And that sums it up.
