Does your Senator suck?

Center Field links to a pretty interesting series of charts which shows the approval ratings for all 100 Senators broken down several different ways. The first chart lists them alphabetically by state. The next lists them alphabetically by surname. And the last one lists them in order of approval ratings, from highest to lowest.

One interesting observation I have is how the top of the last chart lists mostly Democrats, with New England (read: moderate) Republicans accounting for a high percentage of the few Republicans with high approval ratings. The reverse holds true at the bottom of the chart where those Senators with the lowest approval ratings are listed. There, conservative Republicans dominate. There are exceptions at both ends of the scale. But, the overall trend is hard to miss.
