Haha! Nice. I have to tell you Scott, as a lefty I don't agree with you very often, but we're on the same page here. Maguire uses that phrase like some people use "um" or "well." :-)

I absolutely agree with Dr. Z. NFL announcing has sucked for a while now. I enjoy watching the games in a sports bar 'cause there the noise usually drowns out the commentator's drivel. If you know a little about the game then the commentator is really a redundancy anyway. I don't need them to point out to me that a touchdown has been scored or that a defensive player yanked a receiver down by his facemask.
Whoever is in charge of replays... I like that. And doing the X's and O's onscreen to illustrate how the defensive and offensive backs caused a given scrimmage to play out the way that it did is useful and interesting at times. But, I'd rather they just shut up and announce the game.
