The FBI confirms the ACLU's charges

Anybody with any sense knows that the detainees at Guantanamo are being tortured.

FBI agent Harrington witnessed incidents including a woman guard grabbing a man's testicles and a dog being used to torment a detainee.

Harrington also said that some of the things he saw are counterproductive to obtaining information.

I think it's time for the military to stop being involved in these situations. At the very least, notwithstanding what some consider is acquiesence by the top brass, they seem ill-trained in gathering information from detainees.

It is also time for the administration to stop stonewalling on charges regarding the detainees and come clean. We are not a third world dictatorship.

Surprise, Surprise!

"We are not a third world dictatorship."

You forgot to put the word "yet" in there.

Yeah, on this I agree with you.

One thing I've argued time and again is that it wouldn't take long before ANY administration would use the precedents set by the Patriot Act or actions in Guantanamo against US Citizens.

You don't have to be anti-Bush to be scared of these actions.
