1.7 Billion spent

The numbers are out on the last election and the numbers are absolutely staggering. I am truly puzzled on what the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance reform was to achieve.

Here are a few numbers.

1. The DNC reported yesterday that it raised $389.8 million from Jan. 1, 2003, to Nov. 22, 2004, compared with $385.3 million by the RNC.

2. At least $925 million was spent in support of Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) and $822 million in support of President Bush.

Here is Wash Post's full article.

Proud to say I contributed nothing to either candidate or party committee. Dems need to stop nominating bad candidates and wafflers, Repubs need to stop nominating unlevel-headed ideologues.

Proud to say that I didn't give either side a dime, either.
