Alabama And Its' Redneck Constitution

It seems that many in the state of Alabama still want to retain some vestiges of the Ol' South.

An Constitutional Amendment to delete segregationist language from the Constitution had failed. And even more frightening is that 50% of the people of that state voted to do so.

It seems that opponents used a specious argument that deleting the language would allow federal judges to order the state to spend more money in the schools.

Earth to Racist......They already have the power.

This also proves one of my arguments about the Marriage Amendments. Once such language is included in a Constitution, it is hard as hell to get out.
